I'm a space fanatic. I was a plastic model builder before I was a teen, but since my 20's I've hardly worked on any. I am now starting some modeling, as I have time. The best ference I known is the space modelers group at Ninfinger Productions.
This is my latest Vostok model. The Soviets launched six manned Vostoks in the early 1960's. This particular model kit was made in the Soviet block, possibly East Germany. The kit left something to be desired when it came to accuracy and completeness. So I replaced the oxygen and nitrogen bottles, added radiators and RDU retro engine, and substituted aluminum wire for the original plastic antennas, and added gold colored wires for cabling.
